The joy of making art using the medium of natural light is a major motivation for why I take photographs. For every different kind or quality of light at play in the world there is a distinctive image that awaits discovery.
As an artist I look at and catalog in my imagination the unending cornucopia of effects that light creates as it reflects, refracts or shines on or through things. All of my pictures were found, not made, in an ecstatic moment of recognition of the ephemeral characteristics of iridescence, of its transcendent beauty.
